Thanks, Scott

It is no small thing to be invited to stand at a friend's hospital bedside.  It is no small honor to watch closely as those things most important to him make their way to the surface, leaving all else behind.  It is no small trust to be given the final call whether to continue medical interventions or let the inevitable arrive on its own terms.

I am a man blessed beyond measure, full beyond capacity.  I am a better man for having simply been around him.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again.  I love this life, this very life.

And I know he does, too.
